In Japanese culture, the sakura, ornamental cherry trees, have become a symbol of lifes fleeting nature as the blossoms themselves only last a short time. Their beauty is simplistically and beautifully immortalized on these powder blue dishes. Although it looks straight as an arrow, the rectangular plates edges actually curve slightly. They perfectly cradle sushi, kebabs, cold noodles, or other bite-size snacks. While the blue surface sports a flawless feel, the brown frame has a grainier texture.
